2024 Marketing Assistance Package: We have a winner!

To change the world for the better, you simply need to use the skills and resources you already have.

That’s what British comedian, screenwriter and rom-com king Richard Curtis did with Comic Relief. Moved to help ease the devastating 1985 Ethiopian famine, he turned to the one thing he knew he was good at – making people laugh. Thirty years on, that simple idea has now raised well over £1 billion to relieve poverty around the world. Putting the ‘fun’ in fundraising has worked amazingly well.

We’re doing something similar at Splice Marketing – using our marketing skills to make a positive impact on the world.

As you may remember, we recently launched our Marketing Assistance Package (M.A.P). Every year MAP will provide eligible health organisations with up to $25,000 of in-kind marketing support across a range of marketing packages, which can include:

  • A new or updated website
  • Organic social media
  • Digital growth
  • Funding campaign
  • Grant writing
  • Bespoke services.

We were impressed with the number and quality of applicants for this inaugural M.A.P round. Choosing the recipient was not easy but our judging panel narrowed it down to 3 very strong contenders and then selected the front-runner.

Drumroll, please….We’re delighted to announce that 2024’s MAP recipient is Chronic Pain Australia!

Why did we pick Chronic Pain Australia?

Chronic Pain Australia is the national voice for the 3.6 million Australians living with chronic pain. Founded in 2001 and driven by committed volunteers, it is a non-profit, non-government, organisation registered in Queensland.

There are hundreds of chronic pain conditions. Dubbed ‘an invisible illness,’ it can be hard to find effective treatment and even harder to manage the mental and emotional impacts of a lonely and demoralising condition that others cannot see (and do not always believe).

Chronic Pain Australia makes a tangible difference in the lives of countless individuals. Their services and advocacy ensures people with chronic pain receive the support, compassion, and resources they need to manage their pain so they can return to meaningful, enjoyable activities.

How will we help Chronic Pain Australia?

Splice Marketing will be helping Chronic Pain Australia through a national awareness-raising campaign.

We don’t want to give away too many details just yet, but this one will definitely tug on the heartstrings. We plan to leverage everything in our marketing arsenal to improve the lives of vulnerable patients whose lives should not be marred by pain.

There’s always next year!

To every 2024 M.A.P applicant, we wish you all the best in the amazing work you do. Please consider applying again for the 2025 round.
And if you’re a Queensland-based health charity, please consider applying for M.A.P. Applications open again in March 2025. Who knows, next year’s recipient could be you!
